Prevagen vs Neuriva: Which Formula Makes Sense?

Prevagen Regular Strength and Neuriva Original both offer short ingredient lists and one-capsule routines. Their formulas are nevertheless very different. We explain that difference first, then show why ThinkEase is our preferred broader option.

Our verdict

ThinkEase is our best overall choice

Between these two, the ingredient choice is apoaequorin versus coffee fruit and phosphatidylserine. Our overall recommendation is ThinkEase for shoppers who want a wider disclosed nootropic formula.

Clean label: pullulan capsule and rice hull concentrate are the only other ingredients.

“Not included” indicates confirmed absence from the assessed formula. “Not verified” identifies a gap in the information available for this comparison; it does not mean the manufacturer hides the amount.

ThinkEase: 16 active ingredients; caffeine-free. Compare botanical extracts by both amount and specification, not milligrams alone.

Prevagen: Regular Strength capsules. Extra Strength, Professional Strength and chewables are different versions.

Neuriva: Original capsules, not Plus, Ultra or gummies. This is the two-active formula.

Capsule and other ingredients

ThinkEase: Pullulan capsule and NuFLOW rice-hull concentrate.

Prevagen: Other-ingredient list not verified for this version.

Neuriva: Other-ingredient list not verified for this version.

Product compared: Original capsules, not Plus, Ultra or gummies. Serving basis: 1 capsule.

The two-product decision

Prevagen is the more specific purchase for someone looking for apoaequorin. Neuriva centers on a different combination. There is no shared main ingredient whose dose can settle this comparison, and familiarity with either name cannot resolve the evidence question.

The convenience comparison is closer: both reviewed versions use one capsule. That may matter if you dislike a larger supplement routine. ThinkEase asks for more capsules in exchange for a broader selection, so the trade-off should remain visible.

Compare research without creating a head-to-head trial

Both have published research relevant to the reviewed formulas. Neuriva’s 42-day controlled study and the apoaequorin trial are separate experiments, not a comparison between the two products. Their outcomes cannot simply be lined up to declare a numerical winner. [1] [2]

That is why we would not headline this article with a claim that one is clinically proven to beat the other. Our preference for ThinkEase also stays at the level of formula choice. We have not presented a direct trial establishing superiority over either product.

When a broader alternative makes more sense

If neither short ingredient list matches what you wanted from a nootropic, moving to a broader formula is a reasonable next step. It is more useful than choosing between two familiar names simply because those are the names in the search.

ThinkEase adds bacopa, citicoline and theanine around a separately stated phosphatidylserine amount. That is the combination we prefer. The alternatives below retain a clear order rather than expanding the comparison into an unrelated list of brands.

Why we recommend ThinkEase

Choose according to the formula you actually want. For our preferred all-round daily approach, we would start with ThinkEase; its breadth and visible amounts matter more to us than the one-capsule convenience of either comparator.

3 alternatives to consider

Our order reflects the formulas, serving sizes and labeling detail we prefer. It is not a ranking established by a clinical comparison.

1 · Best overall

ThinkEase

Our first choice for 16 individually disclosed actives, including 300 mg bacopa and 250 mg citicoline. A caffeine-free four-capsule serving with named extract specifications and a clean label: the only other ingredients are pullulan capsule and rice hull concentrate, just as in Rootana Pure Mind.

2 · Smaller serving, clean profile

Rootana Pure Mind

A very good option if you prefer three capsules. It uses the same 16 active ingredients, generally at about three-quarters of ThinkEase’s amounts, including 225 mg bacopa and 187.5 mg citicoline. Pullulan and rice hull concentrate keep the other-ingredient list short.

3 · Basic alternative

Mind Vitality

A botanical nootropic option with bacopa, lion’s mane and phosphatidylserine. It is our third choice behind the two leading formulas above. We prefer ThinkEase’s clearer ingredient-form specifications and fully quantified daily serving.

How we assessed these products

This is a formula and research comparison, not a personal-use test. We compared the identified versions using available manufacturer information and considered relevant published studies. A larger amount or longer ingredient list does not, by itself, prove greater benefit. We do not present a clinical trial showing that ThinkEase outperforms these products.

Supplements are not treatments for cognitive disorders. Check suitability if you take medication or have a health condition. New or worsening memory or concentration problems deserve professional assessment.
