Prevagen keeps its formula simple: apoaequorin and vitamin D. ThinkEase takes a broader approach, combining 16 disclosed actives in a caffeine-free daily serving. Here is what that difference means when you are choosing a supplement for everyday memory and concentration.

Our verdict
ThinkEase is our best overall choice
ThinkEase is our best overall choice for a broader daily formula. Prevagen’s one-capsule routine is convenient, but we prefer being able to combine citicoline, bacopa, theanine and phosphatidylserine in one product.
Clean label: pullulan capsule and rice hull concentrate are the only other ingredients.

“Not included” indicates confirmed absence from the assessed formula. “Not verified” identifies a gap in the information available for this comparison; it does not mean the manufacturer hides the amount.

Which Prevagen does this review cover?
This comparison covers Regular Strength capsules. Extra Strength and Professional Strength use different apoaequorin amounts, and chewables are a separate format. The name on the front of your bottle matters: a review of one version cannot stand in for every product sold under the brand.
Regular Strength offers a very short active-ingredient list. That can suit someone deliberately looking for apoaequorin rather than a wider nootropic blend. It also makes clear what you are paying for. We would judge that choice on evidence for apoaequorin, rather than treating the familiar brand name as evidence of an effect.
Does Prevagen really work?
A published 90-day randomized study examined apoaequorin in adults with self-reported memory concerns. Its authors reported favorable findings, so describing the ingredient as having never been studied would be inaccurate. One trial, however, does not establish that a supplement reliably improves everyday memory for everyone who buys it. [1]
The same standard belongs on our side of the comparison. ThinkEase’s ingredient selection is not a substitute for a trial of the complete formula. Our preference reflects its composition and transparency; we are not presenting a clinical head-to-head victory over Prevagen.
What the shorter formula leaves out
Prevagen does not include the bacopa, citicoline or theanine found in ThinkEase. Those omissions are relevant if you want one product covering several ingredient preferences. They are not proof that a two-ingredient product cannot be useful.
In particular, vitamin D has an important nutritional role, but adding more vitamins is not automatically the answer to memory concerns. Look at your existing supplements before choosing another daily product. A simple formula and a comprehensive formula solve different purchasing problems.
Why we recommend ThinkEase
For us, the attraction is having 300 mg bacopa, 250 mg citicoline and 200 mg theanine clearly stated, alongside 750 mg acetyl L-carnitine HCl. You can inspect the whole ThinkEase serving before deciding. Its pullulan capsule and rice hull concentrate also keep the other-ingredient list short. The trade-off is four capsules rather than one.
3 alternatives to consider
Our order reflects the formulas, serving sizes and labeling detail we prefer. It is not a ranking established by a clinical comparison.
1 · Best overall
ThinkEase
Our first choice for 16 individually disclosed actives, including 300 mg bacopa and 250 mg citicoline. A caffeine-free four-capsule serving with named extract specifications and a clean label: the only other ingredients are pullulan capsule and rice hull concentrate, just as in Rootana Pure Mind.

Rootana Pure Mind
A very good option if you prefer three capsules. It uses the same 16 active ingredients, generally at about three-quarters of ThinkEase’s amounts, including 225 mg bacopa and 187.5 mg citicoline. Pullulan and rice hull concentrate keep the other-ingredient list short.

Mind Vitality
A botanical nootropic option with bacopa, lion’s mane and phosphatidylserine. It is our third choice behind the two leading formulas above. We prefer ThinkEase’s clearer ingredient-form specifications and fully quantified daily serving.

Common questions
Is Prevagen a treatment for memory loss?
This is a supplement comparison, not a treatment recommendation. New or worsening memory problems deserve assessment rather than a trial-and-error sequence of supplements.
Is ThinkEase proven better than Prevagen?
No direct comparative trial is presented here. We prefer ThinkEase’s broader disclosed formula, which is a purchasing judgment rather than proof of greater clinical benefit.
How we assessed these products
This is a formula and research comparison, not a personal-use test. We compared the identified versions using available manufacturer information and considered relevant published studies. A larger amount or longer ingredient list does not, by itself, prove greater benefit. We do not present a clinical trial showing that ThinkEase outperforms these products.
Supplements are not treatments for cognitive disorders. Check suitability if you take medication or have a health condition. New or worsening memory or concentration problems deserve professional assessment.
